SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — Major Crimes detectives are investigating the death of an elderly woman who was found not breathing on East 23rd Avenue Wednesday morning.
According to Spokane Valley Police, reports came in about the woman around 6:45 a.m. The caller said she had no pulse and was not breathing.
Spokane Valley Fire arrived and the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Spokane Valley deputies began investigating, which is standard protocol with an unattended death. Law enforcement says criminal activity is not suspected.
The medical examiner will release the woman’s name as well as the cause and manner of death when appropriate.
