SPOKANE, Wash. — A woman was sentenced Thursday for the 2020 death of a Spokane teen.
Brenda Kross was sentenced to 102 months in prison, or 8.5 years.
Kross expressed remorse during sentencing proceedings saying, “I am so sorry. I would like to begin by saying there are no words to explain my actions.”
In 2020, 19-year-old Sorenson was reported missing and found dead in the trunk of a car in North Spokane in 2021.
Kross’ fiancée, John Eisenman was arrested for the murder in 2021 and Kross in 2022.
The couple pleaded guilty in November 2024.
According to court documents, Eisenman told law enforcement he kidnapped and killed Sorenson for selling his daughter into a sex trafficking ring in Settle, of which there is no proof.
Eisenman was scheduled to be sentenced Thursday as well, but his attorney was unavailable. Eisenman’s sentencing has been rescheduled for January 23 at 1:30 p.m.
