COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho — A meeting to purchase jewelry turned into a theft and shooting in Coeur d’Alene on Friday.
According to the Coeur d’Alene Police Department, 18-year-old Fausto Labonte-Lovato of Spokane drove with a friend to Coeur d’Alene Friday to purchase $60 worth of jewelry from an online ad.
Labonte-Lovato met with the seller, 19-year-old Nathaniel Scott Mendenhall, at the 76 gas station on Appleway Avenue and Ramsey Road around 3 p.m.
