This New Year’s Eve, we decided to celebrate in a way that was fun for the whole family. Instead of waiting until midnight, we let the kids stay up until 9 PM to watch the live stream of the ball drop in New York City. To them, it felt like the real deal—a late-night adventure and a magical moment to welcome 2025.
We transformed our living room into a mini party zone with decorations and even our very own balloon drop. The kids were thrilled, and it was a joy to see their excitement. While it was definitely different from how I spent New Year’s Eve a decade ago, one tradition stayed the same: I enjoyed a couple of margaritas to toast the occasion.
A New Year’s Day First
On New Year’s Day, we had a special milestone: we took my son to the movie theater for the very first time! We saw Moana 2, and I’ll admit, I was a bit nervous about how he’d handle the loud sounds and the dark setting. But to my delight, he loved it! He was especially excited about his kids’ pack, complete with popcorn, a slushie, and candy. His joy was contagious, and I’m already looking forward to more movie outings this winter.
Starting 2025 Strong
To top off the day, I managed to squeeze in my first workout of the year with some “help” from my daughter, who is turning one this month—time really does fly! It felt great to kickstart 2025 with some movement, and I’m hopeful about keeping this momentum going throughout the year.
Looking Ahead
Overall, we started the New Year on a high note, filled with fun, family, and a few firsts. Now, I’m reflecting on what I want to achieve in 2025. For me, it’s about maintaining balance, prioritizing family moments, and finding time for personal growth.
What are some goals you have for 2025? Let’s make it a year to remember!
