KOOTENAI COUNTY, Idaho — A Rathdrum man was sentenced to 25 years in prison on Monday for sexually abusing a child, according to the Kootenai County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
29-year-old Andrew James Reed was convicted of sexually abusing a child between the ages of 10 and 11 on multiple occasions in 2024.
Reed was indicted by a grand jury on August 7 and sentenced on December 30.
District Judge John Mitchell granted Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Molly Nivison’s recommended sentence of 25 years in prison with parole eligibility after 10 years.
