KELLOGG, Idaho — Strong winds and a winter storm forced Silver Mountain Ski Resort to close its doors for the day Saturday.
The resort posted on Facebook that the call is typically made earlier in the day, but the weather ended up coming in much stronger than forecasted.
The mountain is typically open Friday through Sunday from 8:15 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. It will open seven days a week beginning Dec. 13.
Silver Mountain is expected to reopen Sunday at 8:15 a.m.
