MEAD, Wash. — The Medical Examiner says 16-year-old Parker McInerney was the Mead High School student killed in a crash Thursday.
The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office says McInerney crashed into a tree along W. Rutter Parkway near Dorset Road around 10:30 a.m. He died at the scene.
The Medical Examiner says McInerney died of multiple blunt force traumas.
A memorial was set up on McInerney’s parking spot at Mead High School Friday.
Mead High School released a statement Thursday:
“It is with a heavy heart that I share sad news with you that Panther Nation lost one of its Panthers today. We are respecting the direction and timing of the student’s family and sharing no further information at this time.”
