SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. — A man was arrested for domestic violence charges after kidnapping three people and leading deputies on a car chase near the Sunset Hills area on Saturday, according to Spokane County Sheriff’s Office.
Around 10 p.m. on November 9, SCSO deputies responded to a domestic violence call overheard on the radio near Whistalks Way and Government Way.
The suspect was soon identified as 32-year-old Antonio M. Davis by Airway Heights Police Department (AWHPD).
AWHPD told SCSO Davis had left the call’s location before they arrived and had been seen by witnesses forcing a woman and two young children into a gray Chevrolet car.
An SCSO deputy then saw the car driving near Whistalks Way and Government Way and attempted a traffic stop.
Davis appeared to pull over, but then accelerated and tried to drive away.
Deputies pursued the car and Davis soon lost control of the car and slid off the road.
His car hit the curb and stopped near Government Way and Greenwood Road.
The woman and two children were taken to the hospital for their injuries, which were not believed to be serious.
Davis was arrested and booked into Spokane County Jail for attempting to elude a police vehicle, reckless endangerment and resisting.
Further investigation by AWHPD led Davis to also be charged with kidnapping and fourth-degree assault.
His bond is set at $100,000.
