PULLMAN, Wash. — The Washington State University Police Department is continuing to investigate but determined a reported assault did not occur where reported.
WSU police say the assault was reported by a student October 27 who said the incident occurred October 21 in the parking lot south of Beasley Coliseum.
The student told police her attacker come up from behind and choked her causing her to lose consciousness and she believed she was sexually assaulted.
Through the investigation, police determined no assault occurred at that location at the time reported.
WSU police say they were working with the student to find out more information.
Police added reports of a serial rapist in the area are unfounded.
