ADAMS COUNTY, Wash. — Wet road conditions led to an Adams County Sheriff’s deputy crashing onto the side rail of the road while responding to a burglary call Saturday morning.
According to the Adams County Sheriff’s Office, a resident called saying there was a stranger in their home.
While responding to the call, the deputy’s car crashed into the railing at the intersection of Taylor Road and Bench Road. The Sheriff’s Office said wet roads and the fast response speed made it difficult for the deputy to stop in time.
There were no serious injuries from the crash.
Washington State Patrol is investigating the crash. Othello Police helped respond to the burglary call until other deputies could arrive.
The Sheriff’s Office says to make sure and drive safe, especially in wet weather.
