SPOKANE, Wash. — People living in the Moran Prairie neighborhood near South Palouse Highway were told to shelter in place Tuesday morning as police searched for a stolen vehicle suspect.
According to Spokane Police, police were attempting to pull over a stolen truck around 7 a.m. near 57th and Palouse Highway.
The truck crashed and the driver ran away which prompted the shelter in place order.
SPD searched for the suspect using drones and dogs. The suspect was detained around 8:30 but there were reportedly multiple suspects, according to SPD.
Police are still investigating near Palouse Highway and 65th.
