SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. — A suspect was arrested for shooting and killing 53-year-old William McCreight in Millwood Saturday morning.
The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office said 43-year-old Johnathan M. Bryman was taken into custody Monday afternoon in Hayden, Idaho.
The Sheriff’s Office said Bryman met McCreight at a parking lot on the corner of East Trent Avenue and North Argonne Road around 6:15 a.m. on October 12. Investigators believe the meeting was a possible drug deal.
Bryman pulled out a gun and shot McCreight before leaving the parking lot in his vehicle.
McCreight was pronounced dead at the scene.
Law enforcement had probable cause to arrest Bryman for second-degree murder. During his arrest, he was charged as a fugitive and is waiting to be transported to Spokane County.
The Sheriff’s Office said more charges or arrests are possible.
