CHELAN COUNTY, Wash. —
UPDATE, 3:45 p.m., October 12
Level 3 (Go Now) evacuations have been issued for the Wenatchee Heights area due to a wildfire burning on the east side of Squilchuck Road, according to Chelan County Emergency Management.
The Level 3 evacuation is for those living between the west end of Connery Road and the North end of Jim Smith Road.
Those in the evacuation area should leave immediately.

UPDATE, 3:30 p.m., October 12
Squilchuck Road is now closed to through traffic at Methow Street.
Chelan County Emergency Management said those who do not live in the area should avoid Squilchuck Road.
As of 3:30 p.m., Level 2 (Get Set) evacuations are still in place for the fire burning on the east side of Squilchuck Road.

Evacuations were issued for a wildfire burning in Wenatchee on Sunday afternoon, according to Chelan County Emergency Management.
Around 3 p.m. on October 13, Chelan County Sheriff’s Office issued Level 2 (Get Set) evacuations for a wildfire burning near Squilchuck Road in South Wenatchee.
People in the area should be ready to leave at a moment’s notice.
