SPOKANE, Wash – Gonzaga has not made a deal to join the Pac-12 Conference, despite reports online that it is a done deal.
Several posts on Twitter/X Monday afternoon said the agreement was done and that Gonzaga would leave the WCC and join the Pac-12 in 2026.
A representative with Gonzaga told 4 News Now Sports Director Julian Mininsohn that the reports are not accurate.
Yahoo Sports reported last week that Gonzaga could be a Pac-12 target.
The Pac-12 has announced expansion in recent weeks, adding Boise State, Colorado State, Fresno State and San Diego State.
Reports over the weekend indicated Tulane, Memphis, USTA and USF could join the conference, but the schools reiterated their commitment to the AAC Monday.
Gonzaga has spoken to other conferences in the past, including the Big 12, but has so far kept its agreement to stay in the West Coast Conference.
