COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho — The City of Coeur d’Alene announces that, due to the resignation of Mayor Jim Hammond and the appointment of Woody McEvers as mayor, Council Seat #4 is now vacant.
Mayor McEvers is inviting interested citizens to apply for the position.
The appointed person will serve until the election on Nov. 4, 2025, with the newly elected council member being sworn in at the Jan. 6, 2026, council meeting.
The appointed individual may run in the election to retain the seat.
Qualifications include:
Must be at least 18 years old.Must be a U.S. citizen.Must reside within the City of Coeur d’Alene.Must be registered to vote.Must have been a city resident for at least 30 days prior to application and must continue to meet these qualifications throughout the term.
Applications must be submitted by Friday, Sept. 27, 2024, at 4 p.m. to the City Clerk at City Hall, 710 E. Mullan Ave., Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, or by email at Renata@cdaid.org.
