CLEARWATER, Idaho — A large fire broke out at a gas station in Cardiff, Idaho on Wednesday afternoon.
Around 3 p.m. on September 11, multiple fire crews and law enforcement agencies responded to reports of an explosion at a gas station located at 36753 Highway 11.
According to a Clearwater County official, two people were transported to the hospital by LifeFlight for severe burns.
It is believed there may have been other victims as well.
As of 8 p.m. on Wednesday, the fire is still burning and is currently being investigated by the Idaho State Fire Marshall.
The Idaho Transportation Department said around 10 p.m. on Wednesday that SH-11 was closed in both directions from Bald Mountain Road to Camp 57 Road due to the fire. They did not provide an expected reopen time.
