WHITMAN COUNTY, Wash. — Fire crews responded to a wildfire just outside of Albion, Washington on Tuesday afternoon.
Around 3 p.m. on September 10, Whitman County Sheriff’s Office said multiple roads in the area are shut down and residents in the immediate area should be ready to evacuate if needed.
Crews are currently working to fight the flames, which are fueled by dry conditions and high winds.
WCSO said people should avoid the area, but that the fire is not threatening the town of Albion at this time.
This is a developing story.
