SPOKANE, Wash. – A suspect is in custody for following a minor and touching himself in Spokane Friday morning.
According to Spokane Police, officers were already searching for 28-year-old Eric D. Gray for multiple other complaints of indecent exposure over the past few days. Officers found Gray around Rockwood Boulevard and Helena and detained him.
SPD said the minor and their parents contacted officers about an incident that happened just before 9:45 a.m. while Gray was being detained.
The victim and their family said Gray was pushing a scooter while following the minor. As they got close to the minor’s home, the victim said Gray called out to them and was touching himself inappropriately.
The victim said Gray had a hand in his pants while following them.
Gray was booked into Spokane County Jail for communicating with a minor for immoral purposes. He was also booked on multiple indecent exposure charges.
SPD said Gray is listed as a sex offender out of Montana with previous convictions for indecent exposure.
