WALLACE, Idaho – The city of Wallace is gearing up for a jam-packed weekend!
The Huckleberry Festival and 5k Fun Run this weekend will feature food, live music, contests, a magic show and more.
The festival is free for the whole family and is leashed dog friendly. The 5k Fun Run and pancake breakfast are not free.
Festivities begin Saturday at 10 a.m. Also on Saturday will be a magic show, Smokey Bear birthday celebration, and kids huckleberry contests.
Sunday kicks off at 7 a.m. with a pancake breakfast followed by the 5k Fun Run at 9 a.m. The eventful weekend will officially close at 3 p.m. Sunday.
Pancake breakfast tickets can be purchased on Sunday at the Wallace Elks Lodge for $14 per person. It is open to the public.
The 5K Fun Run begins at the Wallace Elks Club downtown and travels up Placer Creek before ending back at the Elks Club.
Medals are awarded for the overall male and female finishers as well as the top finishers in each age group.
There will also be awards for best costume for both people and their furry friends.
Registration for the run is $35 in advance or $45 cash or check on the day of the run. You can register for the 5k Fun Run online here.
