CUSICK, Wash. – The Kalispel Tribe is using a new grant to help bring more dental care opportunities to Tribal members and Pend Oreille County residents.
The Tribe recently received a $130,000 grant from the Arcora Foundation to expand dental care at the Camas Center Medical and Dental Clinic.
The Camas Center provides medical, behavioral health and dental care for all of Pend Oreille County.
The money will go toward equipment for two new dental treatment areas at the Camas Center. The dental clinic will also feature a quiet room for anyone who needs it before their appointment.
The Tribe said the Camas Center expects its number of dental patients to increase from 500 to 874 annually.
The clinic expansion is expected to be finished in summer of 2025.
