LATAH COUNTY, ID — People living near the Gwen Fire burning in Nez Perce and Latah counties can return home as all evacuation levels for the fire have been reduced.
Firefighters have lowered the evacuations to Level 1 meaning people should be mindful of the fire but do not need to leave.
The Gwen Fire is reported to be 34% contained at almost 29,000 acres.
The fire has destroyed 24 homes and 68 other structures.
