SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. — Spokane County Fire District 4 says fire conditions are changing in the region.
Fire District 4 says the area is now in Very High fire danger, effective Friday.
This means even a small spark can turn into a fast-moving wildfire.
According to Fire District 4, hot temperatures, dry fuels and wind are creating prime conditions for wildfires in the region.
Outdoor burning, including campfires, is currently not allowed under the Washington Department of Natural Resources’ jurisdiction across all eastern Washington fire danger rating areas.
Make sure to also use extreme caution with tools and vehicles.
If you see smoke, call 911 right away.
