SPOKANE, WA— Local professional soccer teams are inviting the community to support young athletes through a youth gear drive. The Spokane Zephyr and Spokane Velocity are spearheading the initiative to collect new and gently used soccer equipment.
Throughout the month, USL Spokane is seeking donations of soccer gear such as cleats, shin guards, jerseys, and balls. All items collected will benefit the Give & Go Program, which ensures that every young player has the necessary equipment to enjoy the sport.
As a token of appreciation, fans who donate gear this Sunday, September 22, will receive a Buy One, Get One Free ticket offer for an upcoming home game. The Zephyr FC will face off against DC Power FC in the special Heroes Night match.
